Review by Carsten Brenski: This is one of the many boot CD's which cover Van's famous concert at Fillmore West in April 1970. The same show can also found on the following bootleg CD's: Live in San Francisco 1970, Gets His Chance To Wail Vol. 3: Rocks His Gypsy Soul and the first disk of the 2-CD set Live in the USA. The sound on all three CD's is very pleasant (considering the vintage). I assume the show once was broadcast. However, the sound of the show on Rocks His Gypsy Soul is much better (!) than the sound of the other CD's of this concert. On the other hand, this CD (Moonlight Serenade) has very attractive cover art work, and provides all information on date, location and musicians. Anyway, the show is indescribable and one of the CD's is a must-have for every serious Van Fan.
